About the sessionFeelings of anxiety or shame about our body is very much the norm for many people. Unfortunately, the experience of pregnancy has the potential to amplify our worries and body fears. In this workshop we will seek to first understand the pressures and traps that that often leave us feeling uneasy and unhappy in our bodies. From this understanding we will learn healing approaches and tools that can support a more peaceful, trusting and respectful relationship to our bodies, and ourselves.
About the presenter
Sydney Bell, MSW is a registered social worker and psychotherapist, providing strength-based support to people struggling with self worth, body image concerns, and life transitions. Sydney's passion is contributing to the invigorating emergence of rejecting diet culture and healing body shame. Body Sovereignty is a sustainable path towards improved health and wellbeing, for every body. Reclaiming Body Sovereignty is a weight inclusive healing framework developed by Sydney bringing together the power of self compassion, mindfulness and discernment.
