4-week Virtual Lactation Café (drop-in)

Drop-in to this informal conversation that will focus on enhancing the lactation and infant feeding experience of the families that attend.

Facilitated by Colleen Bunbury, a Board-Certified Lactation Consultant, this virtual support group will seek to answer your questions, offer information and support your journey through infant feeding. Pop on to one, two or join all four sessions of this condensed 4-week series covering lactation and infant feeding from pregnancy to weaning. Any topic is up for discussion, don’t be shy, ask away!

Topics will include:

Week 1: Preparing to chest/breastfeed, human milk composition and benefits, latching, positioning, expressing.

Week 2: Addressing challenges such as low supply, over supply, sore nipples, weight gain, plugged ducts/mastitis.

Week 3: Normal intake and behaviour beyond 3 months, teething and biting, starting solids and digestion.

Week 4: Common substances, how they affect human milk and infants, harm-reduction, and gentle weaning strategies.

is a Pregnancy Worker, Postpartum Doula, Childbirth Educator and International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant. She is passionate about supporting families with Infant feeding, birth and parenting and has been serving in this capacity for 15 years. When not engaged in this important work, she enjoys spending time with her family, including many pets, gardening, volunteering, and reading.
