This is a 2-part class.
In class one we will talk about anatomy, benefits and risks to infant feeding methods, lactation hormones, skin to skin benefits for family, optimal latching/positioning, expected colostrum/milk/diaper amounts, and safe sleep environments.
In class two we discuss cup-feeding, mammary compressions, labour medications and lactation; preparing for medical-interventions at birth, when medical supplementation may be needed, engorgement, and infant sleep schedules.
